Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez won the English Premier League while Mohamed Salah won the champions League with Liverpool.
The two are both currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations and will once again go head-to-head in the 32nd edition.

Egypt already won their first game after beating zimbabwe 1-0, while Mahrez will soon come against Kenya on Sunday June 23.
Despite Man City clinching the EPL title, the Reds finished second with just one-point separating the two English clubs.
Salah compensated for the Premier League by lifting the golden boot and now Mahrez can use the Africa Cup of Nations as a chance to .outshine his English rival.

Mahrez was the first African to win the PFA player of the Year award when he won the league with former club Leicester.
And now Mohamed Salah has replicated the Algerian's success and arguably even surpassed him in terms of accolades.
However the star does not mind the competition and showered praise on the Egyptian's achievements during his short spell in the Premier League
"I am not bothered at all (with comparisons to Salah), he told al Kass, according to Express (UK).
I hadn't known Salah well before he came to the Premier League. That said the two seasons he played in England were exceptional," Mahrea admitted.
The Desert Foxes take on Harambee at the 30 June Stadium at 11pm East African Time.
