Athletics Kenya(AK) says it has selected a team to represent the country during the World Relay Championships to be held next month on 11th-12th in Yokohama, Japan after a successful National Relay Championships last weekend .
In a statement Wednesday, AK noted that as per IAAF World Relays 2019 entry standards, some of the events like the 4x200M (Men and Women), 4x400M Mixed Relay and 2x2x400M Mixed Relay do not require qualifying time.
That being the case, AK selected various athletes at the National Championships to represent Kenya at the event.
For the ones with entry standards like for the 4x100m, 4x400m and the shuttle relay events, Kenyan athletes did qualify.
