DAILY POST: AL SHAABAB claims responsibility of DUSIT D2 HOTEL attack – claims it was commemorating El Adde attack where they butchered 200 KDF soldiers in 2016 Politics 06:35 Tuesday January 15, 2019-Somalia based militant, Al Shabaab, has taken taken responsibility for the Dusit D2 attack.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, the group’s spokesperson confirmed conducting an operation in the country’s capital.
According to police, terrorists struck the hotel at around 3.45 PM and hurled grenades to the guards of the hotel before accessing the hotel's lobby.
Heavy explosions and automatic rifles were heard from distance and it is believed that more than 6 terrorists were inside the hotel.
Kenya's elite Reece Squad and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Special Forces are currently at the scene and it is just a matter of time before the terrorists are neutralized. Several people are feared dead. Al Shabab militant has claimed responsibility of the attack saying it is a celebration of the El Adde attack where they killed 200 KDF soldiers who were on a peace keeping mission in Somalia.  The El Ade attack took place on January 15, 2016.
