Manchester United star, Alexis Sanchez, has revealed he supported the Old Trafford outfit as child and is determined to make the club’s supporters happy.

He made his debut in the Premier League with the Gunners after sealing a move from La Liga giants, Barcelona.

“When I was younger, I liked United. I swear. As a small child I liked United, I really liked them,” Sanchez told Inside United.

Sanchez has endured a difficult campaign with the Red Devils since his sensational move from Arsenal in January 2018.

The Chilean’s failure to replicate his spectacular form at the Emirates at his new home has seen him linked with a summer departure.

However, the 30-year-old has come out to reveal his desire to succeed at Manchester United, insisting he is committed to his boyhood club.

“United are such an important club, not only in England but on a global level, and I would love to help bring a trophy to the supporters,” he said.

“Obviously, I want to make the United fans really happy. I want to score goals. I want to bring them joy. I want to win silverware,” he added.

The former Barcelona star is currently nursing a knee injury he sustained during a league match against Southampton a couple of weeks ago.

He will be hoping to make an instant impact when he makes his return to action.
