Aquaman is the big winner this Christmas.
The Jason Momoa-starring DC superhero movie dominated the box office, reeling in $22 million on Tuesday alone.
That gives the fishy superhero tale a five-day total of $105.7 million at the holiday box office, per Variety on Wednesday.
And it reeled in $451 million elsewhere for a global trawl of $556.8 million.
It’s also one of the best Christmas Day box offices ever, beaten only by Avatar in 2009 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015, according to the industry bible.
Aquaman has now grossed more than $550 million worldwide.
Mary Poppins Returns, starring Emily Blunt as the magical nanny, came in at second this Christmas with $11.6 million, giving it a $50 million take since it opened a week earlier.
Bumblebee, the Transformers origin story with Hailee Steinfeld, landed at third with $8.9 million, resulting in a five-day total of $34.27 million.
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly’s comedy Holmes & Watson opened on Christmas Day, coming in fourth and earning $6.4 million.
Sony animation Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse pocketed $5.5 million on Tuesday, swinging into fifth place.
That raised the web-slinging superhero’s domestic tally to $73.7 million.
