Athletics Kenya federation has called on athletes interested in taking part in the final National Relay Trials that will be held in Eldoret this weekend to register before this Thursday.
The federation targets 45 athletes who will be selected to represent the country in the World relay championship slated for 12th and 13th next month in Yokohama Japan.
The final round of national trials will be held this Saturday after the end of the first round that was held last weekend at Nyayo national stadium.
Some athletics top creams breezed through to the final round of the qualifiers including national champion Mary Moraa who posted 53. 9 seconds to finish second in the women’s 400m final, 2 seconds behind race winner Linda Kageha.

Joan Cherono finished third in a time of 54.4 seconds. Other athletes who cruised through to victory included Alex Sampao who finished first in the men’s category after posting 47.0 seconds ahead of Alphas Kishoyian and Isaac Kirwa who finished second and third respectively.
