DAILY POST: Big win for WILLIAM RUTO as LUO ELDERS endorses his presidency in 2022– He is better than our old man RAILA ODINGA Politics 03:39 Monday January 14, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has received a huge boost after a section of Luo Council of Elders supported his presidential bid in 2022.
The elders led by their chairman, Opiyo Otondi, said Ruto is the man to beat in 2022 and they will rally members of the Luo community to support his bid.  The elders also said they waited, Ruto on Saturday in Kisumu but because of other engagements he failed to attend their meeting. “We have been waiting for the DP since morning, but, unfortunately, he has not turned up. We love him and he should come and see his people,” said Otondi.  Otondi’s sentiments were echoed Kisumu Coptic Church, Fr John Pesa, who said Luo community will support Ruto’s presidency in 2022. Pesa praised the DP said he is a charismatic leader who will take the country to greater heights once elected as president in 2022. For the last two decades, NASA leader, Raila Odinga, has been commanding huge support from the region.
