Tuesday January 8, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has suffered another blow in his 2022 Presidential bid.

This is after Nakuru Town West MP, Samuel Arama, also dumped him and his 2022 bid, saying it is not a matter of life and death for Ruto to become President in 2022. In a statement, Arama, who was one of Ruto’s trusted lieutenants in Jubilee, disowned the DP’s clamour for power, saying Kenyans Kenyans have a right to choose a President who they deem fit to serve as Head of State. “It is not a matter of life and death that Dr. Ruto becomes President.” “If he's chosen, well and good, if he loses, that's democracy and we must respect that," Arama said. Instead, Arama said Kenyans should try a Fred Matiang'i Presidency, hailing the Interior Cabinet Secretary for his transformative agenda in various departments he has served. "We have the likes of Dr. Fred Matiang’i who has shown that he has qualities to be the next President of Kenya and I will push my community to have him on the ballot because we must show the other communities that this seat is not their preserve,” said Arama.
