A Nairobi court has detained 43 terror suspects arrested in Eastleigh for two days to grant prosecution time to conclude investigations.

The 43 persons were arrested on Tuesday when police raided a college in Eastleigh.

Among those arrested were 38 college students who were in the country illegally and could not communicate in English or Kiswahili.

Prosecution is also seeking to establish the suspects connection with the Al Shabaab Militia group.

The suspects are students, directors and managers of the two institutions.

Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) said the colleges were not registered.

Court heard that the suspects have other associates still at large.
