Tuesday December 18, 2018 - Deputy President William Ruto has termed National Super Alliance leader, Raila Odinga, as a tribal bigot who always fans ethnic hatred whenever he loses elections. Speaking at Iguhu in Ikolomani Constituency after laying the foundation stone for a planned Medical Training College on Monday, Ruto said any leader who creates chaos whenever he loses an election is the biggest enemy of democracy. The DP said political competition should not be about politicians retreating to their ethnic enclaves after losing elections. “Kenya is a democracy and those who lose in elections should not fan ethnic animosity by failing to concede defeat. We need to have political parties that have a national outlook and do away with ethnic-based parties if we are to build a strong united country,” he said. He also castigated Raila Odinga for repeating that he won the 2017 presidential elections saying the issue of who won the election is now past tense and leaders should concentrate on improving the lives of their constituents.
