- De Gea has stated that Manchester United performance so far this season is not acceptable
- This comes after the club's disappointing defeat against Newcastle United
- Man United have recorded just two wins this season and they are occupying 12th position on the table
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has explained that the current Premier League season is the most difficult one in his career at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer's men have been struggling this season with their only impressive performance coming against Chelsea in their season opener.
United were hoping to bounce back with a Premier League win on Sunday, October 6, against Newcastle United, but suffered defeat to the relegation threatened club.
After the match, De Gea stated clearly that their performance so far this term is not acceptable.
"It is not acceptable, not just this game but the whole season.
"It is the most difficult time since I have been here. I don't know what is happening. We cannot even score one goal in two games,'' the Spanish goalie told BBC.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also exuded disappointment on the defeat against Newcastle United claiming that the players are working hard.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying 12th position on the Premier League standings with 9 points after eight games played this season.
