Decomposing body of man found in Bombululu

A decomposing body of a man was discovered at a quarry in Bombululu, Mombasa, on Tuesday morning.

Residents said there was a foul smell coming from the quarry. When they checked around, they found the body in underwear only and alerted the police. 

Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and began investigations.

Residents said a madman, who used to walk around in similar boxers, has been reported missing from December 22, 2018.

Kisauni police boss Sangura Musee said police are establishing the identity of the dead man.

The body was taken to Coast General Hospital mortuary.
