Detectives from DCI arrest three human traffic suspects in Ruiru

Three suspected human traffickers arrested in Ruiru, Kiambu County Thursday morning are expected to appear in court.

The suspects namely Mercy Kaaia, Lydia Wairimu and Susan Nyambura Nganga were arrested by detectives from the Transnational Organized Crime unit as they attempted to smuggle 25 Burundians to Asia.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said on its twitter handle that detectives raided the home of Nicholas Mugambi Waigwa and rescued 25 females.

The victims, all aged between 24 years and 33 years, were being held hostage at the said home in Gwa-Kairu in Kiambu County pending transit to Asian countries.
