Drones join search for abducted Italian aid worker
Security personnel have arrested 14 people in relation to the Tuesday night incident where gunmen shot five people and abducted an Italian aid worker in Chakama, Kilifi county.
Since the attack, there has been a major operation going on both day and night composing of KDF, police, GSU, KWS, and Administration Police together with Special Forces who are tracking the suspects believed to be hiding in the forest.

DPP wants law to force suspects out of office
The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji wants Parliament to amend the law to compel all graft suspects including constitutional office holders to step aside once charged.
Haji, a former Deputy Director at the National Intelligence Service, claimed some of the suspects allowed back into office were using the opportunity to subvert justice.
He said he would petition Parliament to amend the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (ACECA).

Compensation for SGR was made to revoked titles
National Land Commissions Vice-Chair Abigael Mukolwe has said compensation for the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway was made to property owners whose titles had already been revoked.
In an affidavit, Mukolwe says, payments were made in Embakasi and Athi River contrary to a decision by the resolution of the committee on review of grants and disposition in which she chairs.

Police reject resident’s plea of on seatbelts
The security administration in Lamu has rejected a plea by Lamu residents who had requested to be allowed to travel without fastening their seat belts.
The residents claimed that the seat belts would make it hard to quickly free themselves in case of an attack by Al Shabaab militants in the area.
Lamu County Police Commander Muchangi Kioi insisted that no single traffic rule shall be flouted by any vehicle on the road.
