Gor Mahia, who qualified to the next round of the CAF Champions League by beating Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi on post-match penalties after a one all aggregate draw, found themselves trailing just before the break through William Wadri.
David Kingatua needed just six second half minutes to double Bandari’s lead and despite a late comeback by Kogalo, the title holders could only find the back of the net once losing 2-1 at Mbaraki stadium.
In the other matches played on Saturday; Kakamega Homeboyz struggled against KCB but managed to breach their opponents’ defense once to collect maximum points, Mathare United defeated Chemelil Sugar 2-0 while Posta Rangers lost 1-0 to visitors Western Stima
