Monday January 7, 2019 - Kirinyaga County Governor, Anne Waiguru, has a sent a message of goodwill to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, who reached 74 years on Monday. Raila’s birthday come at a time the country is witnessing political calmness that was brought by the handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9^th, 2018. In her message on Monday, Waiguru wished Raila Odinga a long life and good health. “Happy 74th Birthday @RailaOdinga May you find great fulfillment and abundant blessings in the years ahead and may the Lord satisfy you with long life and good health,” Waiguru said. Raila and Waiguru have not been best of friends after he linked her to the multi-million scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS).

The scandal erupted during Waiguru’s tenure as Devolution CS.

She has since denied any wrongdoing. However, late last year, the two frenemies buried the hatchet and agreed to work together and continue spreading the message of reconciliation.
