Hussein Mohammed appointed DP Ruto's head of communications

Former Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohammed has been appointed as Deputy President William Ruto’s Head of Communications.

Through his Twitter handle, DP Ruto welcomed Mohammed to the hustler team ahead of the August 9, elections.

“Hussein Mohammed, renowned TV journalist, has been appointed Head of Communications in the William Ruto Presidential Campaign. Welcome to the Hustler team,” said Ruto.

Mohamed was welcomed into Ruto’s campaign team at the DP’s official residence in Karen.

The former news anchor has maintained a low profile away from the public limelight since he left his plum job at Citizen TV in October 2019.

He has however been working as a communications consultant with NGOs.

The celebrated media personnel is famed for his eloquence and hard-hitting tv interviews.

His exit from the media sparked uproar among Kenyans who appreciated his style of interviewing political guests in the country.
