Saturday January 5, 2019-The family of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, is a worried lot over his nature of work.

Speaking yesterday, Noordin’s father, Yusuf Haji, who is also the Senator for Garissa County, opened up about the nature of his son’s job expressing worry over his life. He noted that although he was proud of his son landing the job as DPP, he was concerned about the high likelihood of it earning him enemies, including killers and assassins. “We are very proud, but at the same time we are a bit worried because the work he is doing for his country will raise many enemies,” Yusuf said. Since his appointment, Haji has been deemed the face of corruption due to his persistence in pursuing cases involving powerful people in the country. He has received several threats, including death threats, from people he is pursuing but has vowed that he would never give up the fight against corruption.
