Vipaji, the second Kenyan band, was eliminated in the preliminary stages
The all-girl band Malkeeya has made it to the finals of the Old Mutual Amazing Voices competition. Amazing Voices is a pan-African singing competition that sees African contestants square off for the title and grand prize of KSh. 10 Million.
The band, now in the finals, stands a chance of walking away with the grand prize. If they win, they will not be the first Kenyan group to do so. Wanavokali won KSh. 10M in last year’s competition.
This year’s competition, shot in South Africa, invited entrants from 5 African countries: South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria (new) and Zimbabwe; two groups per country.
The show airs on Maisha Magic every Sunday at 8 PM.
