Man United make contact over transfer of Chelsea star Willian

– Willian’s spell at Stamford Bridge is set to end at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season

Man United have reportedly joined the race for Chelsea winger Willian.

Willian is already out of contract at Stamford Bridge and he is due to leave at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

The Brazilian is understood to be keen to remain in England once his Chelsea stay expires leaving a number of Premier League teams salivating for his services.

Key among the teams looking to sign him include Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, with a reunion with Jose Mourinho widely mooted.

However, United are said to have also joined the chase to land the former Shakhtar Donestk star.

Whereas the 31-year-old would be willing to remain at Chelsea, that appears not possible with his agent recently revealing talks over an extension have hit an impasse.

Express UK citing sources in France report the Red Devils’ have already made contact with Willian’s representatives over a potential summer deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add reinforcements in the attack and he has Dortmund star Jadon Sancho top on his transfer wishlist.

But with the transfer dragging, Express UK adds the Norwegian boss has set his eyes on Willian as a possible alternative.
