Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i says over five million Kenyans have registered for the Huduma Namba in the ongoing national registration exercise that started last week.
Matiang’i who was in Kisumu to assess progress of the registration exercise says the government will increase the number of registration kits as well as work extra hours to ensure many Kenyans are registered in the next 45 days.
pointed out that the uptake in registration was encouraging prompting the government to increase the working hours for registration clerks to open the centers from as early as 6 am.
He pointed out that the exercise marked a new dawn to service delivery in the country and would help in drastically reducing bureaucracies and bribery cases associated with the search of crucial documents at government offices.
