Trouble started when Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Kimengi made an announcement declaring that the 13 students in second year semester and third year first semester be relocated on cost cutting grounds.

Prior to the shocking announcement the University which has been facing financial problems had surrendered several floors to the management of Bazaar plaza in the CBD over delay in rent payment.

The affected students have vowed not to move out of the CBD as it was convenient with them given that they were professionals and businessman operating within Nairobi.

‘It would not be logical for me to balance my work in the City and travelling all the way to Eldoret to seat for classes’’ lamented one of the affected students.
