Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to move into £4m mansion he rented out to Virgil Van Dijk

He has also dragged them back into top four contention, while they are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League where they will battle Barcelona next month.

Solskjaer lived in a £4 million five-bedroom property during his playing days, and put it on the market after returning to Norway to manage Molde.

Since his arrival at Old Trafford in December 2018, the 46-year-old has been staying at Lowry Hotel.

Daily Mail however reports that the tactician might consider ejecting Virgil van Dijk, the current occupant from his mansion as his family will be joining him in England soon.

“We’ve really enjoyed the last eight years living in Norway,” the club legend said in an interview with Manchester United following his appointment.

“The six months that we agreed on [when initially taking the job on until the end of the season] as a family, that’s gone now. Now we’re moving together.

“We built a house, or I started it in 2007, but finally maybe in 2019 we can move into it – that’s long planning,” he added.

Solskjaer’s 3.4 acre property includes a media room, a utility room, a store room/AV room, a first floor study area, a master bedroom with a dressing room and en-suite bathroom, four further bedrooms, a garage, a brick outbuilding with a pool room, a dark room and a gym.

In addition, there is also has an extensive rear garden and a front paddock with stables.
