A police chopper has crashed in Meru.

Reports indicate that the helicopter carrying security personnel crashed at Kaithe Kithoka forest after developing mechanical problems.

The six police officers were headed to Sololo in Marsabit , when the Saturday morning accident occurred.

The injured have been rushed to hospital.
