The rift in the Jubilee party appears to be widening further as factions within the ruling outfit continue to clash.

On Sunday evening, the two groups were involved in a bitter confrontation at a thanks giving ceremony in Naivasha as they traded accusations and counter accusations on prospects of the party especially in regards to 2022.

What was meant to be a thanks giving ceremony in AIPCA church in Naivasha turned out to be an arena of finger pointing and blame game between the now famous Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions in Jubilee.

Trouble began when the Kieleweke group led by MPs Ngunjiri Wambugu, Joshua Kuttuny and Gathoni Wa Muchomba allegedly made entry to the venue without the knowledge of area Mp Jane Kihara, now allied to deputy president William Ruto.

The Wambugu-led group accused their counterparts of undermining the President by choosing to politic when the head of state has called for an end to early campaigns.

they further castigated Central Kenya politicians who have expressed support for the DP in 2022 saying they have openly demonstrated defiance to the head of state.

This did not go down well with area lawmaker who accused her counterparts of disrespect adding that they had no apologies for supporting Ruto.

In the meantime, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi says the issue of whether the country should hold a referendum or not is premature at this point in time.

Mudavadi argues that there are more pressing matters at the moment such as corruption that needs to be dealt with to safe the country from economic collapse.
