Teenage Acrobat Wendy Waeni KCPE Results

Young Kenyan acrobat Wendy Waeni was among the over 1 million eager candidates to receive her KCPE results on Monday.

While announcing this year’s results at the Star of the Sea Primary School in Mombasa, Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed said two candidates have tied at the top with 453 marks out of possible 500.

A total of 12,273 students scored over 400 marks while the best performing pupil with disability scored 446 marks.

228,414 candidates scored between 301-400 marks, with Wendy Waeni being among them.

It has been an emotional roller coaster period for the 13-year-old globally recognized acrobat; days after sitting her final exams, she was appointed as the UNICEF’s Inspirational and Enthusiastic Young Champion Ambassador, ahead of World Children’s Day today(November 20).

Barely a week later, Wendy Waeni met with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after posting an appeal on Twitter. The two met at Raila’s office at Capitol Hill on Thursday, November 15, following the intervention of Raila’s son, Raila Junior.

On Monday, a seemingly proud Wendy shared her KCPE results with the world through social media. She scored an impressive 340 marks out of a possible 500.

Wendy, who started acrobatics at the tender age of four, has had the chance to perform for presidents, prominent dignitaries and world leaders among them the Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, John Mahama of Ghana and the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
