DAILY POST: TERROR ATTACK in Nairobi as terrorist hit DUSIT D2 hotel – Several people held hostage – ALSHAABAB commemoration



Tuesday January 15, 2019-A Nairobi hotel is currently under siege
after terrorists struck and held some people hostage.


According to police,
terrorists struck, Dusit D2 Hotel along Riverside Drive, Nairobi at around 3.45 PM
and hurled grenades to the guards of the hotel before accessing the hotel lobby.
 Heavy explosions and automatic rifles were
heard from distance and it is believed that more than 6 terrorists were inside
the hotel.
Kenya’s elite Reece Squad and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are
currently at the scene and it is just a matter of time before the terrorists
are neutralized.
Several people are feared dead.
It is believed Al Shabaab are behind the attack to commemorate three
years since the  El-Ade town town attack where they killed over 200 KDF 
soldiers who were in peace mission in Somalia.
The El Ade
attack took place on January 15, 2016.
