Former Nyanza NEC member Tom Alila has declared his candidacy for the FKF Presidency in the coming polls.
Alila will contest for the top seat against Habert Mwachiro, Sammy Sholei, Nicholas Musonye, Steven Mburu, Sam Nyamweya and incumbent Nick Mwendwa.
Former Nyanza NEC member Tom Alila has declared his candidacy for the FKF Presidency emphasizing more on grassroots football and proper youth structure.
Alila who served as NEC member in Nyanza in 2013 under Sam Nyamweya said a lot needs to be done to raise football standards and with goodwill from the government, he believes he can transform the game that can make Kenya secure a ticket to the World Cup.

Alila commended the current regime for the progress made but urged FKF president Mwendwa to convene a stakeholders meeting before elections are conducted where all sub-branch teams should be given a chance to have a say in the election.
The FKF presidency has attracted many candidates that will see Alila battle it out against Habert Mwachiro, Sammy Sholei, Nicholas Musonye, Steven Mburu, Sam Nyamweya and incumbent Nick Mwendwa.
However, FKF is yet to set clear guidelines pertaining to the elections as well as the date for the exercise.
