Sharks winger Harrison Mwendwa picked an injury on the hazardous pitch while in action thanks to its neglected state.

“The field is really pathetic, we can’t even compare it to some of the worst pitches we have in the country. They (Tusker) are used to it because they train here and are getting points from this same field so they know much about it than others" an agitated Kanu said after his team's 3-1 defeat to Tusker on Wednesday.
"But if you want to improve the standards of football we can’t be coming to play on such an injury-prone surface, it should’ve been banned as soon as yesterday," he said.

Tusker has now announced that it has shifted base to Machakos to allow for renovations at Ruaraka.

"Tusker Football Club wishes to inform the media, our fans and the general public that we have shifted our home ground from Ruaraka grounds to Machakos, Kenyatta stadium to pave way for renovations to be carried out at the Ruraka grounds. We shall update you on the season fixture changes," read the statement from the Brewers.

Some of the teams that use Machakos for their home matches include, Mt. Kenya United, AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, KCB, Sofapaka and Posta Rangers.
