United stars pay tribute to De Gea after keeper makes 11 second-half saves in their win over Spurs

David De Gea produced a masterclass performance as Manchester United secured a hard fought one nil win over Tottenham at Wembley to remain unbeaten under Ole Gunnaer Solskjaer.

Marcus Rashford gave United a one nil lead at the stroke of half time and despite Tottenham pressure in the second half, it was De Gea who became star of the show as he pulled eleven saves to deny Spurs even a point.

The result leaves Spurs nine points behind leaders Liverpool and United level on points with fifth-placed Arsenal as they revive their top-four hopes. This result is a bitter blow to Spurs as they try to keep pace with Liverpool and Manchester City.

De Gea’s team mates were clearly grateful, taking to social media to praise the stopper’s performance.
