Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko was last night kicked out of the JKL Show on Citizen TV.

Sonko was unceremoniously let go by the Show Host Jeff Koinange over what Jeff described as editorial and quality control.

“Due to standards and quality control here at Royal Media Services Governor it looks like we cannot continue with this interview,” Jeff told Sonko

While Citizen did not state the exact reason why Sonko was kicked out of the show, it is deemed that Sonko’s ungraceful remarks about Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris got him kicked out of the show.

“Hata mimi ni bwana ya mtu na akikuja (Esther Passaris) hapa nitamuuliza kwanini ananiita Intercontinental kwa room”… we want leaders who respect families”  Said Sonko.

Before making the remarks Sonko had previously shown Sonko a private conversation between him and Passaris to which Jeff unsuccessfully attempted to stop him.

At some point Jeff had to invoke the name of his director Monica in order to have Sonko stop but he did not stop.

“Passaris is misleading Kenyans; I do pick her calls. She made allegations against me and I had a right to reply,” he said.

Sonko and Passaris woes started at the Madaraka Day Celebrations when Sonko insulted Passaris saying that he is not her husband to pick her calls whenever she wanted.

Passaris had publicly questioned Sonko’s source of wealth and money alleging that he might have got it from corruption.
