Ukambani leaders are calling on the government to resettle thousands of squatters residing at the disputed East Africa Portland Cement Company Athi-river.
The move comes days after EAPCC issued a vacation notice to squatters.
Led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the leaders who toured the 16,000-acre piece of land said the eviction is being orchestrated by a few selfish individuals who want to grab the land.
Machakos senator Boniface Kabaka urged squatters not to be swayed by empty threats by government agencies saying the land belong to them.
