Africa’s domestic travel has continued to record impressive growth due to high per capita income and relaxed visa requirements. These include an AU e-passport and the creation of visa upon arrival, e-visa and visa-free travel for African citizens. This is according to an e-commerce site, Jumia, in its Africa Hospitality Report released recently.

“The African market for online travel is still nascent with undoubted prospects,” said Jumia Travel and Food Chief Executive Joe Falter.
