Emotions ran high at Chiromo Mortuary in Nairobi as relatives of the victims of Dusit Terror attack viewed and identified the bodies of their loved ones.
The three women in tears at Chiromo mortuary after identifying the body of their relative at Chiromo Mortuary. The Tuesday attack that left 21 people dead has been condemned strongly worldwide.
Families gathered at Chiromo Mortuary to identify bodies of their kin.
Kenya’s Special Forces with the help of their foreign counterparts are still mopping around the expansive complex to ensure the threat is completely neutralised.

Several people who allegedly aided the attack have also been arrested as investigations into the matter intensify.
The attack was a tragedy that saw Kenyans come together and donate blood in solidarity with Dusit terror attack victims. Several people flocked the stations set aside to donate blood.

The drive was led by the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Services, in partnership with Kenya Red Cross. State officers, politicians and NGO leaders also came forward to donate blood.

The attackers blew up one of their vehicles immediately after they arrived.
Police response was swift but mistook it for a robbery. The first team to respond to the scene were officers from the nearby Australian embassy. They shot at the about five terrorists pushing them into the hotel’s main entrance.

More police officers arrived there few minutes later armed with sophisticated weapons. They walked into the compound and rescued dozens of those trapped therein.
