The leaders have also accused the two of fanning wrangles being witnessed in the region.

The groups largely affiliated to Ford Kenya and ANC parties claim that both Oparanya and Atwoli are plotting to politically auction the Luhya electorate for their own selfish interests.

Speaking in Kakamega County, some members of County Assembly elected under ANC Party blamed Governor Wycliff Oparanya and COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli for the disunity being witnessed among Luhya politicians.

Led by Kakamega County assembly leader of Minority David Ndakwa the ward representatives vowed to mobilize the western region electorate against a plot to auction them to other political players in the country.

Similar sentiments were made in Trans Nzoia, where ford Kenya party officials blamed the Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga for the woes currently rocking the lion party.

The party officials have called on the registrar of political parties to be impartial in solving the dispute on the party’s leadership.

Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu is expected to rule on the feud by end of the week.

The developments come after COTU boss Francis Atwoli hosted a meeting at his Kajiado home last week alongside Governor Oparanya.

The two leaders are also accused of re-aligning the communities leadership. Members of the Amani National Coalition, FORD Kenya Party and ODM attended the Friday meeting at Atwoli’s house.
