Wednesday December 26, 2018-Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI),
George Kinoti, has maintained that he will continue arresting thieves of public
money until all corrupt officers are weeded out of the Public Service.
In an exclusive interview with one of the
local dailies, Kinoti said his department will work tirelessly to ensure
criminals and those who engages in theft of public money are sent to jail for
many years.

and that “well-connected people are using the courts to stop investigations”.

manner of orders to stop us from working. Cases are being dismissed on flimsy
grounds and I keep asking myself for whom the Judiciary stands. Who stands for

He says he has “never”
received a call from high office asking him to drop a case, “but emissaries
have been sent here with money, lots of money, and I told them off”.

Trained in the UK, Israel,
Sweden, the US and France, among other countries, Mr Kinoti holds a Master’s
degree in security management.
