The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has suspended individual fingerprint forensic and issuance services for two weeks in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
In a tweet, the DCI says the suspension will include the suspension of the issuance of Police Clearance Certificates previously known as Certificate of Good Conduct.
Meanwhile, Officers drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation last evening arrested 23 years old Elijah Muthui Kitonyo in Mwingi town for publishing misleading and alarming information on Coronavirus.
The DCI said Kitonyo will be charged for publishing false information that is calculated to results into panic contrary to section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act of 2018.
