Family badly humiliates Marianne Kitany at Linturi’s father funeral – Weekly Citizen

Confusion marred Senator Mithika Linturi father’s burial as family members failed to recognize Marianne Kitany as part of them.

In what appeared to be a well calculated move, the family representative tasked with reading the eulogy selectively mentioned Mercy Kaimenyi as the only wife to the Meru Senator, to the chagrin of DP William Ruto and other dignitaries who had attended the ceremony.

The vividly embarrassed Kitany in her trademark smile pensively followed the rest of the event with her head down, as a section of bold family members courageously discussed her as the source of  Mzee’s death.

Family sources said that the late  Mzee Peter Linturi was shocked after learning through court proceedings that his son’s palatial home in Meru was built by Kitany, contrary to their traditional belief that it was a taboo for a woman to build a house for a man.
