Governor Mandago set to buy Moi University Sacco building – Weekly Citizen

Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago plans to buy Musco Towers in Eldoret town that belongs to troubled Moi University Sacco. Members of the Sacco recently staged a demonstration opposing the planned sale of Musco Towers.

Sh400 million was used to construct the project.

The government has blacklisted Moi University Sacco and placed it under liquidation.

A gazette notice published last year by then Commissioner for Co-operative Development Mary Mungai cancelled the registration of the deposit-taking Sacco and appointed two liquidators to take custody for a year.
