Friday November 23, 2018-A prominent Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) governor may find himself in prison after an activist moved to court accusing the governor of ignoring court orders.
Vincent Omao, who is a Nyamira based paralegal, said he will revive a case where Nyamira Governor, John Nyangarama was ordered to pay him some money after he successfully sued the Nyamira county government.
Early this year, Omao took the county government of Nyamira to Labour Relations and Industrial Court where he managed to have several Chief Officers and county secretary Erick Onchana reinstated after spending in cold for months.
During the ruling of the case, Justice Nduma Nderi directed the governor to pay Omao some legal fees, but the governor is yet to pay him.
“He’s yet to comply with all court orders including legal fee. I will move to court to have him sent to prison very soon,” Omao said.
“Further, I am aware of fraudulent nomination of his relatives to CPSB, he will also meet me in court. This impunity must stop,’ Omao added.
