 According to Jubilee Party lineup, once Uhuru retires, Ruto is the apparent heir but recent secrets fight in State House has put Ruto’s presidential bid in jeopardy. However commenting about the issue on NTV on Monday , Malala said Uhuru is betraying Ruto because has been opposition progressive agendas by the Head of State.  Malala said Ruto has been hiring his stooges to oppose everything that Uhuru does especially the ongoing purge against graft. "You remember very well they opposed lifestyle audit. They also opposed the ongoing fight against graft, “Malala said. Furthermore, the Senator believes that the leaders have ignored President Uhuru's directive on projects. He said Ruto has been walking across the country launching projects, contrary to the president's stand.  This, Malala argues, is a conflict since Uhuru had given a directive to have completion of ongoing projects before launching new ones.  Malala also said that Ruto has been using Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, his Nandi counterpart, Samson Cherargei  and Kimililu MP Didmus Barasa to bash the President.
