Janet Mbugua has been very active on social media to help create awareness on women related issues.

Be it menstruation, pregnancy or delivery, she uses her experience for activism.

Janet has been vocal on social media addressing these issues but today she leaves us shocked after announcing she will be away from social media.

Her reason is simple. She just needs a break from all the time she has been spending online.

It’s been such an incredible week! A lot of it spent online and now it’s time to be present offline, at least for a bit. A huge thank you to you who’ve participated in such key conversations around social issues, particularly on health and gender rights. A special thanks to those who’ve signed and shared my petition. Lets get more signatures on there! The more the voices, the better the progress. I’m bummed that I won’t make it to the Women Deliver Conference in Vancouver this year, due to unavoidable circumstances. For our national champions going, like @nicelengete and @josephinekuleaamong others, make us proud!

Her break comes just after her husband, Eddie Ndichu shared a picture of her second born son, Mali which is something Janet Mbugua does not do.

Hopefully, all her projects will keep going strong because her biggest reach especially when seeking signatures on the petition to Kenyan Members of Parliament. A petition to improve on the Menstrual Health Management (MHM) Policy in Kenya that will ensure all women in Kenya are receiving adequate MHM services.

This was her last project and as from last week, the signatures were coming through which seems like it will eventually be a success story.
