The businessman who is identified as, Mark Maina, a relative of Former President Mwai Kibaki and owner of Marble Arch hotel in Nairobi’s CBD, claims that he owns the 20 acre piece of land in Kayole. He obtained a court order allowing him to demolish the houses but Sonko claims the title deed he issued the court  is fake. The fiery Nairobi Governor has stopped the demolitions after receiving orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta. A phone conversation of Sonko insulting and threatening the rogue businessman has emerged. The fiery Governor has promised to teach him a lesson that he will never forget and further revealed that he grabbed County Government land in Nairobi's CBD and built a hotel.
