- The Premier League club have been struggling after recording poor results in recent weeks
- Former Juventus boss Massimilliano Allegri has also been tipped as potential Spurs boss
Jose Mourinho has emerged bookies' favourite to replace Mauricio Pochettino as manager at Tottenham.
The Argentine boss has endured a turbulent week after Spurs were knocked out the Carabao Cup on penalties by League Two outfit Colchester United.
The defeat was followed up with a humiliating 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 1.
According to SportNation.be, Mourinho is the number one candidate to replace struggling Pochettino.
Pochettino is - 6/4 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked, having been given a 12/1 chance before now.
However, Mourinho has been installed as the favourite to be the next boss at the Tottenham Stadium at 3/1.
Ex-Juventus boss Max Allegri is set at 5/1 and Eddie Howe of Bournemouth is at 6/1 to get Pochettino's job.
Despite Mourinho having a successful career in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain, he was sacked as boss at Old Trafford last December after a poor start to the new campaign.
The Portuguese gaffer has since not taken another job in the dugout, currently working as a sports pundit.
