KCB Bonus Policy A Corporate Theft

The bonus was worth waiting for at KCB during Martin Otieno Oduor but this is no longer the case. Under Martin Oduor’s leadership, employees would earn up to three times of their monthly gross salaries by taking advantage of Employee Share Options( ESOP) introduced by the former CEO.

Joshua Oigara brought in his flower boy Group HR Director Paul Russo who scrapped off ESOP and reduced the employees’ bonuses from three times of monthly gross salary to 70% basic salary. This makes KCB employees one of the least bonus earners in the country despite making billions in profits and Oigara pocketing over Ksh 256,000,000.

KCB Board of Directors is quiet on the discriminatory bonus policy on workers since the bonuses paid to Joshua Oigara and Paul Russo is shared with some of the board members.

KCB employees hope that the new Group chairman Mr. Andrew Kairu will stop this theft and improve bonuses of the oppressed KCB employees. Joshua Oigara is a corporate con and Kenyans don’t understand why Oigara is not being arrested.

Mr. President, please arrest Joshua Oigara.
