Through a statement, DPP Haji said that the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives had been investigating how KPA made payments amounting to Ksh 214, 548, 340 million to Nyali Capital Limited between October 2014 and March 2017.

Investigators unearthed the multi-million scandal where Nyoike is said to have used his office to confer the funds to Nyali Capital Limited, a microfinance company in which his wife is a general manager and his brother a director.

Nyoike is said to have facilitated the company to finance KPA suppliers, Local Purchase Orders and Local Service Orders and thereafter utilized the KPA system to have the principal and the interest from the said suppliers remitted by KPA to Nyali Capital Limited’s account.
