- Lille vs Chelsea ended 2-1 in favour of the Blues
- Abraham and Willian scored a goal each to gift Chelsea victory
- Victor Osimhen scored Lille's consolation in the first half
Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham on Wednesday night, October 2, continued with his fine form after inspiring Chelsea to a 2-1 win over Lille in a Champions League clash at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Chelsea came into the match with the hope of getting their continental campaign back on track after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Valencia in their Group H opener played at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard paraded a strong side for the France trip, knowing too well only a win away from home can revive their European dream.
N'Golo Kante, who was facing a race against time to full fitness made it to the starting line-up, having missed last Saturday's Premier League game against Brighton with a hamstring problem.

Abraham was once again handed a chance to lead the line, with the youngster paying off Lampard's faith in him with a 22nd minute opener.
The star forward took a touch before prodding home from close range, finding the back of the net from a tight angle.
But Victor Osimhen equalised for the home side just 10 minutes later, with the unmarked Nigerian star nodding home from a corner.
With the first half finishing 1-1, both sides started the second aggressively, as either team sought to take the lead.
It was however the visitors who restored their lead through Willian who capitalised on Callum Hudson-Odoi's well-placed cross to make it 2-1 on his 300th appearance for the Blues.
Meanwhile, the win fired the Stamford Bridge dwellers to second on Group H, behind group leaders Ajax.
