Everyone’s just winging it and other fly tales by Blinky Bill

Blinky Bill is a Kenyan creative who believes that music should be less of a stagnant framework and more creative with the capability of transcending borders. This album is a soulful fusion of jazz and funk.
“Mungu Halali”, a single off the album, is a declaration of gratitude. The video features Leonard Mambo Mbotela, the KBC veteran and media guru, of the “Je Huu ni Ungwana?” fame and gives the video its old school opening. It also features Mbithi and Dan Muli of Just A Band – Blinky’s former electronic and funk band – who bring the video to a nostalgic close and Blinky’s parents and plenty of artsy Nairobians like Patricia Kihoro, Lyra Aoko and Wanja Wohoro.

Shift Happens by Emma Cheruto

A groovy soulful album about a web of love.
A description of the album says, “(It) highlights the inescapable cycle of love. You never know if you are dealing with your everlasting love or just caught up in the cycle. The flow of the songs is symbolic, starting with ‘’Nice Car’’ which talks about the immediate admiration of seeing someone you fancy, and as the E.P. progresses one can see the slow change from love to doubt, and inevitably hurt, loss and all their passionate dynamics.”
