Unai Emery on the other hand made two changes from the side that played Aston Villa, with Maitland-Niles and Ceballos making way for Chambers and Torreira.

Rashford had the earliest chance of putting the hosts ahead, but the Englishman fluffed the chance as he took too long allowing Sokratis back to defend.
David De Gea was forced into a double save soon after, before United getting their noses in front via McTominay just moments to the break to ease pressure on the homeside.

The opening minutes of the second half saw Arsenal settle in quickly, with Unai Emery introducing Ceballos in place of Torreira in what appeared to be a tactical decision.
Aubameyang went on to pull one back for the visitors in the 59th minute, lifting the ball over De Gea to bang a leveller.
Neither side could find a winner in the remaining minutes of the clash, thereby settling for a 1-1 draw.
