- Maurizio Sarri has been under immense pressure from Chelsea fans after win at Cardiff

- But the Italian manager does not want supporters to boo players at Stamford Bridge

- Chelsea have the chance to move into the Premier League top four if they beat Brighton

Maurizio Sarri has appealed to Chelsea fans to support the team when they face Brighton in a crucial Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

The former Napoli boss came under fire during the Blues unconvincing 2-1 win at Cardiff leaving the fans chanting for his sack.

But Chelsea fans are unhappy with their team's performance in general after sitting out of the top four place and will have to win the Europa League to keep their Champions League hopes alive for next season.

However, Sarri is not worried about the heavy criticisms, but has warned supporters not to boo the players, claiming their actions can have a negative impact on the team.

"They have to help the players during the match," the Italian boss said ahead of their meeting with Brighton.
"After the match, they can say anything, but during the match, I hope they will be able to help my players. It’s not helpful for my players. For me, it’s not a big problem. I’m not happy, but it’s not a big problem.," he added.

Following Manchester United's loss at Wolves, Chelsea have a golden opportunity to drive themselves back into the top four if they beat visiting Brighton at the Bridge.
